We’re a little cafe’ / restaurant at the foothills of the Dandenongs that is a popular destination for locals, bike riders, tourists, car enthusiasts and many more. There’s a fantastic park across the road for kids and adults where each year events like The Basin Music Festival are held. 1 in 20 refers to the gradient of Mountain Hwy up to Sassafras, commonly know as this to many cyclists. What many don’t know, is that Mountain Hwy from Bayswater to Sassafras in 1937 was actually called One In Twenty Road for a brief period of time.vEveryone working at 1 in 20 is local, many even walking to work as they are so close.
