Glen Innes Highlands isn’t only famous for its World Heritage listed National Parks, the town and villages are also noted for their beautifully maintained parklands and gardens. Just west of the Glen Innes CBD, a series of parks run through the town with the landscaped Rocky Ponds Creek running through the centre of the parklands. Large trees provide ample shade, wheelchair and pram friendly paths meander, quaint bridges, picnic and BBQ areas abound, children’s play areas, exercise equipment, memorials, rotundas and lovely manicured lawns complete the picture of the parklands that start in the south and run several blocks toward the north.
