Maya Karate Academy. It is a school of traditional karate in Adelaide. We work with children as well as adults. Focusing on the reinforcement of a healthy self-esteem a stop-bullying culture and a development of the deeper philosophy of traditional karate through mastering the body and diciplining the mind. Our teachers have high grades in traditional karate and world recognition within our organisation and other international bodies. We have life long careers in international competitions as well as the traditional techniques. All of our teachers have studies in sports and coaching. The head of our style holds a PhD in education and the rest of our instructors have studies in psychology and physical education. Champions of Australia, Mexico, Oceania and Panamerica.
